A Jazz Story
Jazz has played a big role in my life for quite a while. Unfortunately, I found no photographic documentation that reflected my feelings towards Jazz. I certainly did not feel the rhythm in black and white pictures.

I wanted to capture this music in pictures; not in classic black and white, but as I see and feel this music today. The photographs would evolve into a composition, allowingone to “hear” Jazz without the acoustics. I pictured an album - but with a continuity of pictures, portraits and notes that enable the observer to hear and feel a composition of my creation. The excerpts and notes from a jazz musician who founded the basics of this music reinforce the role standard jazz plays.
Modern Jazz has adopted many different impulses from other music - and has become eclectic. The portraits of musicians and singers, whether fusion jazz, classical standard jazz or a combination of all these, illustrate the diversity which exists today.
