The project was to redesign the business website of a company engaged in equipping sports facilities. The team and I were taken with making a complete redesign of the old website. That was not only about UI design, but also about a complete rethinking of:
– what a website is for business and for users,
– what tasks it solves,
– what benefits it brings,
– what functions it performs.
While the old site contained chaotically placed information about the company, the products offered, and the company's portfolio, on the new one, everything is systematized. An ordinary nondescript list of products has become a Catalog with the ability for a customer to add products to the manager's request, then send it and get feedback. Thus, the functionality of the online store appeared.
Also, some important information was previously stored only as the presentations (pptx). They were differently stylized and located in different places, which harmed the well-coordinated work of the business and cooperation with the clients.
Overall I:
– coordinated the team of 3 designers and communicated with engineers, marketing managers, stakeholders, and the business owner;
– conducted competitive and user research;
– created the information architecture, the site map and the user-flow of the site from scratch;
– UI/UX design of main pages
