Autism-friendly architecture means simple, intuitive clear and functional.

The building area is located in the western part of Troyeschina district, next to Roman Shukhevych Avenue and Honore de Balzac Street in green zone with access to the river Desenko. This place is calm and quiet and there are no other buildings nearby. Rehabilitation center is surrounded only by nature.
The master plan includes residential, rehabilitation and recreation area. All zones are designed using basic means of composition: meter and symmetry what makes world more simle and clear for children with ASD.

There are small gardens and orchards for children as an additional component of rehabilitation. Each child takes care of his own piece of land and its plantings. The garden therapy helps children find peace, focus and develop responsibility and care.

Recreation area has sport playgrounds which are helpful in developing social skills, improving psychological state and general well-being.
The building represents a cozy small town where each functional block is a simple house. Then houses are connected with transition that connects different therapies with one goal of rehabilitation.

As children with ASD prefer recurrence and regularity, residential, rehabilitation and nutrition areas organised in a circular way.
Facades made like of children`s game blocks make medical institution closer to children.

The color scheme of the centre is designed due to psychological tests, which prove that muted shades are calming for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Light pink is considered to be favorite color of children with autism spectrum disorders, it makes comfortable and soft atmosphere. Shades of green are in the list of the safest colors for children with ASD as they give a sense of balance and harmony.
