Maggie's Alterations
Maggie’s Alterations was created as a conceptual business, focusing on the world of the fashion industry. The company itself is an alteration business, focusing on providing professional services and high quality results for any type of clothing. My objective for this project was to create original works including a logo, business card, and brochure that encapsulates how Maggie’s Alterations would present themselves.
I began to build my concept by researching aspects of alterations including research on an array of various stitches, popular fashion trends, as well as more modern designs that also take minimal inspiration from older alteration company logos.
Moving on from the creation of the business card, I continued onto the second part of this project; the brochure. My brochure for Maggie’s Alterations was heavily based upon my original logo design. I utilized the same color scheme (a neutral green and cream white; unisex colors) from my business card and incorporated this into my brochure design. Aspects of the business card design that are showcased frequently in my brochure include the use of patchwork around my models, the use of stitching, and color scheme.
This project was created in the Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop programs as well as ran and printed on a Canon Imagepress C800VP printer.
