Another dive into live action like the others in my portfolio, to create a seamless transtion from live action to CG it takes timing and positioning plus a couple of tricks to match move with the live action. My buddy spent the whole project learning Realflow to handle the fluid shot as I dialed in animations and textures for the other stuff.  

The moment the story goes from CG to live action is always a challenge with these spots. The skateboard model we had built from another spot, didn't line up perfect with the shot from Gonzales. There wasn't budget to build a new model so, we hid the transition in the last few frames of the skate spin. See if you can catch it in the motion blur. Also, for some weird reason, Gonzales was skating a different shapped wheel then the CAD model we were given but it still seemed to work out.
