Designing Game for Children

About the Project
This is a real, tangible and available to use eductional game. Its a ready product. Motivation for designing a chemistry game for kids came up from my own experience. I always hated chemistry and I still hate it. But it cannot be avoided since its a mandatory subject in school. This lead us designing a game for kids, especially those facing difficulty in learning the fundamental concept of chemistry that is the periodic table.
Our goal is to make learning periodic table fun for kids and stimulate their interest. We had two more strong ideas i.e. making shapes and treasure hunt which could fit into the same hardware, so we made it a 3 in 1 game. All the 3 games are for 2-4 players for age group of 12+.
Chemical Island : A game to learn the periodic table

Make Shapes!
2-4 players game where you are a tinkerer where you try to form shapes faster than your opponent based on the cards you've got.

Discover Elements!
2 players move their team of scientists on the tiles, collecting elements. Each player should try collecting elements in such a way that he can make sequence of elements refering the periodic table. If he forms a sequence, he earns bonus points. The player who has collected the most points by the end of the game wins.

Treasure Hunt!
2-4 players move their team of hunters on the tiles, collecting treasures. The player who has collected the most treasure by the end of the game wins.
