As a group, we were asked to design the branding elements for Weston College creative arts summer show 2013, which exhibits all the students work from throughout the year. My group came up with the idea of a Summer Exposé, as the work the students create is personal to them, and therefore by exhibiting their work they are exposing their deepest personal ideas and thoughts. We wanted a strong visual to show our idea. We thought nude! Why not? Exposing something personal to you, whether it be the human body itself or the work which he/she creates. We have designed the posters in an elegant fashion which uses the body as an art-form (sometimes hard to tell that it is a human body at all). We felt this was important so the brand was taken seriously, and not looked at as being 'trashy'. The images (of the posters and banners) I have included were taken on the day that the college decided which group were to be used for the final exhibition in the summer 2013. Unfortuantely, my group werent chosen as they felt the idea was a bit too 'out there'. But I dont see that as a bad thing, it is unique and eye catching...just what I would want if I were advertising my company.
