OASIS POKER OBJECTIVES AND STRATEGY

Oasis Poker is a game, played against the Dealer. You have an option to exchange cards before deciding whether to raise or hold.

Objectives
The Oasis Poker goal is to beat the Dealer’s hand. Both player and Dealer receive five cards at the first deal. All player’s cards are faced-up. One Dealer’s card is also faced-up and can be seen by players. There are no community cards. Before raising a bet, you are able to exchange cards. You might change one or few cards (exchange of all five cards is also optional). Exchange costs money. The person with the highest hand wins the game. The poker hand is standard and consists of player’s own cards. The hands comparison between player and Dealer, for determining winner, is made at the end of the game.

Play Structure
Initially, the player places an "Ante" bet and the dealer deals 5 cards to the player and himself. All but one of the dealer's cards are dealt face down (often referred to as "hole" cards). The player must then make a decision: either fold, losing their ante bet, or fold up to 5 cards, or "call". If a player decides to fold, they will be charged a fee equal to the ante rate for each card they exchange. This commission is not a bet and will not be refunded regardless of the outcome of the hand. If the player chooses to "call" - before or after the fold - he must bet twice the "ante" bet, after which the dealer's hole cards are revealed and the hands are compared.

Oasis Poker Strategy
When playing oasis poker, all you have to do is find out when you should hold or change cards. Since you will be playing against the casino, you don't have to worry about the other players at the table. Coming up with a strategy for this game will prove to be a daunting task as you will need to consider a couple of card combinations in order to make an informed decision on whether you want to change your card or not.
