Since 2016, I have designed the yearly calendar for the Quincy School District. 

This yearly calendar is one of the most requested and anticipated communication pieces the district sends out. It is mailed out to all Quincy, WA residents at the beginning of August. 

The calendar is also distributed to all teachers/staff in schools and shared digitally via the districts social media pages and website. This calendar is very well received and anticipated by the Quincy community as the district receives inquiries as to when the calendar will be published as early as each July.

The calendar is filled with important dates and photos that are culturally reflective of the community. The dates and photos are sourced from each school that include: contact information, conferences, breaks, registrations, music concerts, open houses, picture days, family nights and much more. 

The Quincy community, staff and families rely on this calendar to keep informed.

Each year a theme is selected for the calendar and this year’s theme was “We are Jackrabbit Strong.” This theme represents Quincy School District's staff, students and families’ ability to keep pushing forward amidst the challenges the pandemic has created. 

To tie the theme together, I designed the "We are Jackrabbit Strong" logo and sourced different words that represented the theme and assigned them to each school/page. 

As for layout, I created a layout that would allow me to showcase as many student photos as I could, but still be visually appealing as it is important for the Quincy community to see photos of their kids more than anything else.
