L'OISEAU
Fineliner and vegetal inks on paper

I drew this artwork few days after my beloved grandmother's death. It means more than a lot for me. I tried to express the essence of heritage.
The bird represents a soul giving the holly spirit back to a new awakening. The smoky heads in the hair symbolize all the past lives fears. I choose flowers and light colors to stand hope we both have to be worthy of a so grateful present.
I've spent hours drawing thousand lines for her hair always using fineliner 0.05 to 0.3. But I've felt a real accomplishment in the kingfisher drawing as I am more confortable with portraiture and live models. I used the vegetal inks only at the really end of the artwork process.
This drawing after being scanned has been used and is still used in a great part of my communication. As my lucky star.
L'OISEAU is now available in my different webstores in several options such as postcard, totbag, mug, poster ...
The original is sold and lives in the french Alps.
But to stand in the 2022 mood i've decided to connect L'Oiseau to the new millenial by perform it into NFT.
And here the final result, almost 8 years after the genesis of this project.
