MOSAIC - Conceptual Poetry Film (2022)
MOSAIC is a conceptual animation project that touches on the concept of relationships, gratitude, and identity.

Starting from a simple statement of “We are a mosaic of everyone we ever loved”, MOSAIC takes audiences on a journey of turning the bitter and unfortunate situation of loss or separation into the strength to build gratitude and form one’s identity.
This piece of motion graphics was inspired by the poetry film genre, with a narration compiled from the insights of 24+ contributors about their experience of loving and losing someone.
Losing a loved one is never an easy experience and MOSAIC cannot guarantee to make it easier for anyone; instead MOSAIC aims to help to pick up some difficult-to-express emotions and encourage people to open up conversations about the ones they have lost – and what they are gifted from them.
The final deliverable consists of one short animation (2m15s), one version with Vietnamese subtitles, and one trailer (33s).

The project is developed as the author's graduating project. It serves as an assessment for the course Capstone Studio 2 (February - May 2022), Bachelor of Design Studies, RMIT University of Vietnam.
Its assets were developed using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Audition.
