Object documentation and photography

The Forney family donated their extensive model ship collection to the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation for display in their Maritime Museum. Before the collection could be acquired, it needed to be photographed and documented. Over 70 ships were photographed with acquisition stories and history over the course of numerous visits to the Forney home. A mobile photography studio was set up in the Forney home and handlers carried the model ships, some up to 4 feet in length, to be photographed. The photographs and stories were then collected into a book titled Watercraft of the World: The Forney Collection. I photographed the ships and designed the book layout.
