We weren't aloud to put too much sand in the show window since there weren't any solid backing, only panels. Of course the branch wouldn't allow sand to spill out into the selling area. What I did was I combined a printed out texture of sand and actual sand. The tricky part was matching the color of the actual sand with the print out. I took at 5 color proofing before I got the perfect color match. I kept a box of sand in the office for whenever I had to proof the print out.
It created the illusion that the window was filled with sand, giving it the perfect summer feel without the hassle.
