Taylorsville Tartars Logos

Primary Mark: Taylorsville's primary mark is a Texas A&M style "hTs" logo. Since the fall of 2012, it has been used across all sports, including on the football helmets and baseball hats.

Mascot Logo: Taylorsville's alliterative "Tartars" mascot is quite unique among athletic nicknames. Taylorsville is one of three high schools in the country to use the Tartar, a Mongolian Warrior, as its mascot. The logo below is featured on the town's water tower and is frequently used to represent Taylorsville.

Academic Shield: The shield features Taylorsville’s classic gold color and a deeper, more “academic” green. The center of the shield is filled in gold and contains a simple green “T” outlined in white. The top part of the shield, colored in green, features “Taylorsville” in a bold, block font, calling to Taylorsville’s rich athletic history. The sides of the shield feature the words “Tradition” and “Excellence,” bringing to attention Taylorsville’s proud tradition of excellence. The bottom of the shield, flanked in gold, feature three icons that encompass the identity of the school. The laurel wreath calls to Taylorsville’s tradition of athletic success, the lamp and books call to Taylorsville’s constant striving for academic excellence, and the Tartar logo at the bottom brings the shield together by featuring one of the nation’s most unique mascots and logos.

Wordmark Logos: Include "Taylorsville" and "Tartars" in a classic block, as well as the script "Tartars" worn on the white baseball jerseys.

Championship Logos: For a 1A (and formerly small 2A) school, Taylorsville has an incredible winning tradition, including 8 Football State Championships (91, 94, 95, 98, 02, 17, 19, 20), 7 Baseball State Championships (90, 97, 06, 11, 13, 14, 21), 2 Softball State Championships (16, 17), as well as multiple titles in other sports.

I. Dating back to 1990 Taylorsville's football team has made 33 consecutive playoff appearances, holding the longest active streak in Mississippi as of 2022.

II. Over the 12 academic years from 10-11 to 21-22, Taylorsville made at least once state championship appearance per year, winning 17 South State titles (across 5 sports) and 11 State titles (across 4 sports).

III. Since 1990, Taylorsville has won the "Smith County Championship" 20 outright times, and shared it on three other occasions.
