Mahler Vinhandel is located in the heart of Aarhus City, Denmark, and since 1976 they have been selling wine and spirits from recognized top producers worldwide. In 2013 they launched their first single malt whiskey, Aarhus Malt. The whiskey is only produced in a limited number of 60 bottles, all numbered.

Design the identity and label for Aarhus Malt - a whiskey that caters to the connoisseur who solely focuses on the flavor of the whiskey and not on the visual appearance of the bottle.

Solution
I design a very simple label that discreet complement the whiskey, and put the contents of the bottle in focus instead of the label. The design forces the viewer to look through the bottle itself and through the whiskey to see the information of the label. When rotating the bottle, the external light and the golden color of the whiskey is reflected in the label's white typography. The effect created by the whiskey complements its honeyed flavor.
