Gourmet Restaurant Branding From Selling Points Design

A Memorable Logo – The cornerstone of a strong brand identity
A strong brand begins with a strong and memorable Logo Design. The logo sets the tone for all other branding communications and over time results in strong name recognition, positive associations and brand equity.
We have created logos for hundreds of great brands. Many of these logos have been in continuous use for decades, serving as the cornerstone for thousands of successful branded communications.
House of Pies- Logo Design
House of Pies has been at their Los Feliz Village, Los Angeles location for over 40 years. When our client purchased the location it was in pretty rough shape. We were charged with bringing it new life by re-inventing the brand while respecting it’s 1960′s “Googie” Coffee Shop tradition.
House of Pies- Menus
For the cover of the menu we developed an aspirational “Googie Style” pole sign with the Hollywood Hills in the background. The interior features retro “coasters” that reinforce brand messages and highlight featured menu items.
House of Pies- In-Store Marketing
All on-table and in-store marketing utilizes consistent branding elements to immerse the customer in a rich, colorful and engaging brand experience.
House of Pies- Pie Box Packaging
No visit to House of Pies is complete unless you enjoy their fresh baked pies, made daily in a huge pie oven right in the middle of the dining area. We created a branded “window” pie box to show off each and every pie as it goes out the door.
House Of Pies- Brand Dress
The client was sufficiently intrigued by our aspirational sign design that they asked us to develop a “Brand Dress” conceptual for the exterior of the building including the addition of a second story patio and dining area.
Stan’s Donuts- Logo Design
Stans Donuts has been a Westwood, California legend for over 30 years. When they began the process of building a new location in downtown LA they asked us to create a brand identity that was as fresh and fun as their unbelievably delicious products. We gained a few pounds doing extensive product research on this, but we are very proud of the results!
Stan’s Donuts- Brand Signage
Dimensional version of the logo brings the “running baker” to energetic life directly over the product case.
Stan’s Donuts- Interior Design
Beautiful hardwood display cases make the product the star of the show, with the added support of generous branding reinforcement from every angle.
Stan’s Donuts- Packaging
Branded donut boxes and bags along with a souvenir coffee mug. We developed a quote from the colorful Stan himself, ” The proof of the donut is in the eating!”
Stan’s Donuts- Employee Uniforms
Deconstructing the logo components and applying brand color and imagery to garment elements.
Stan’s Donuts- Menu Boards & Entrance Signage
Supporting menu boards flank the main logo over the product case and front lit exterior entrance signage.
California Pizza Kitchen ASAP- Logo Design
ASAP was conceived as an extension of the California Pizza Kitchen brand into a fast-casual dining experience.
The logo needed to maintain the brand equity in the established CPK identity with the addition of type elements and color to clearly distinguish ASAP from the full-service CPK experience.
California Pizza Kitchen ASAP- Exterior Signage Treatments
Various configurations of the logo were developed to address the challenge of fitting the logo into a variety of exterior spaces while maintaining maximum readability.
California Pizza Kitchen ASAP- Main Menu
Large back-lit menus were created for the walk-up area as well as on the front face of the cash wrap. The menu was also reconfigured in the take-out version shown here.
California Pizza Kitchen ASAP- Promotional Materials
Various promotional materials were developed in support of the brand. Shown here are newspaper inserts and the ASAP Gift Card.
