Northland Precinct Review

Northland (NURP)

The Northland Urban Renewal Precinct (NURP) project was a scenario testing exercise for the creation of a high-density mixed-use precinct around an existing large-scale shopping complex in Melbourne's north-eastern suburbs (approx. 10km from downtown).

The project area is roughly 142ha (351 acres), and forms a key node in the Latrobe National Employment and Innovation Cluster (NEIC). The goal was to create a vibrant and connected, mixed-use place to live, work and play.

Note: I contributed to project discussions, created some of the diagrams below, and produced the renders on this page. However, the project was led by my Associate Director Chrissy Carter, with key strategy diagrams, document structure and content produced by her and other members of the project team.
