My Custom 1/6 Scale Articulated Figurines.

My 1/6 Scale Custom Articulated Figurines showcasing my original poses/ Various Miniatures.

One of my most favorite hobbies is both collecting and customizing 12” artistic figurines via Kit-bashing. The figurines you are about to witness are customs that I created for my own collection. Every detail is painstakingly researched for each individual character. Whether it be from cinema or interactive entertainment.

Oftentimes I tend to modify/ alter existing parts to fit/ include the vast amount of details I strive for on each character. Such as head-sculpts, clothing, equipment, weathering, realism etc. Oftentimes I paint my own head-sculpts from scratch. This involves me studying the characters face and replicating that in ultra fine detail on these miniature facial portraits. I have only included figures here that I either repainted or created from plain white head sculpts.
All respect is given to the prospective Artists/ mega talented sculptors that created these blank Head castings for me to paint/ kitbash.

As of late, I have found myself in both the custom 3D printing and 3D modeling aspects of this hobby. I am still a beginner when it comes to 3D modeling & printing. I expect myself to gain more experience in this aspect of my hobby with time. One day it will hopefully be to the point of where I can distribute my own custom head-sculpts out to this hobbies community. Which in turn my head-sculpts will then be casted for their own specific use in their own Kitbashes.

Thank you for reading my artist’s statement. I hope you enjoy my miniature 1/6 scale custom creations.

My first figure I wanted to showcase is a custom kitbashed figure I made of a classic/ iconic FireFighter Hero facing the waves of a fiery inferno while on firefighting duty!! One of my earliest customs!!
One of my first customs featuring “Robert De Niro” as “Travis Bickle” from the classic 1970’s thriller film titled “Taxi Driver” directed by Martin Scorsese. I did countless hours of research for this character and I feel the end result was quite good for when I started out kitbashing/ making customs figures. Travis Bickle’s .44 Magnum was carved by me out of clay and then painted/ weathered to create Travis’s iconic revolver. His head sculpt was one of my very first attempts at painting 1/6 scale head portraiture. Incredible film! Can’t say enough good things!
Next in line is “Gordon Freeman” from the classic 1990’s Sci-Fi videogame series “Half-Life” created by Valve. Here I have showcased my repainted headsculpt of Mondo’s 1/6 scale attempt at this legendary character.

Unfortunately, Mondo made critical design and artistic errors in both the accuracy/ realism that was meant to be portrayed in this figure. Mistakes such as, the wrong eye color on Gordon’s head-sculpt! Which I fixed by switching the color from Blue, to game accurate Green. Other design mistakes consisted of an extremely inaccurate skin tone, flat shading on both Gordon’s Goatee and Hair sculpt needed work. In conjunction with other minor issues.

The pose featured is Gordon walking tirelessly towards the viewer as he holds his iconic trusty crowbar! While at the same time carrying his kill of the day. That being of a nasty invading alien from another dimension known as Xen. This creature is known as a “Head Crab” due in part to it trying to eat your head and simultaneously take over your body. If successful the “Head Crab” turns the victim into a zombie like alien monster. Thus this is the reason for the small alien being called a “Head Crab” and being firstly viewed as a seemingly weak vortigaunt alien.

Overall after I repainted Gordon’s head-sculpt he’s become one of my favorite figures in my collection!

Who doesn’t love The famous wall crawling, web slinging Spidey!! Based off the Amazing Spider-Man 2 portrayed by Andrew Garfield. In my opinion it was a great film! This figure isn’t so much a custom as it’s retail from Hot Toys. I personally loved the pose and wanted to showcase it!

I will always mention here if a figure is or isn’t custom or modded.
“Star Wars: The Mandalorian” an exceptional TV series that’s based in the Star Wars Universe. This Sci-Fi Old West inspired epic is deserving of all its praises!! This show is downright awesome! If you are a Star Wars fan check it out for sure!!

This particular figure is the stock Hot Toys Mandalorian: Beskar Deluxe edition figure. The only changes that were made to this figure were adding a satchel to hold “The Child” as well as a Pure Beskar Spear adorning Mando’s back.

The pose portrayed is Mando frantically saving the child out of harms way. It depicts Mando using his Grappling hook to grab “The Child’s” traversal/ safety pod and in addition he’s brandishing his Mandalorian Boot knife/ blade to be ready for unwanted company. I posted this retail figure cause 1. It’s crazy detailed and awesome! 2. I loved my pose that I created for this character!

Posing these detailed miniature figures is an art amongst itself in my opinion!
What’s portrayed here is a character from the videogame saga “Uncharted” with our protagonist “Nathan Drake”.

The Developer of this game series “Naughty Dog” were heavily inspired by the “Indiana Jones” films in the game's development and the initial conceptual stages of production. The character  “Nathan Drake” has been compared to “Indiana Jones” by much of the fanbase, so much so, that he’s known as the “Modern Day Indiana Jones”! An amazing game series to say the least!
Another one of my favorite heroes of all time! This time from the classic 1982 Sci-Fi horror film titled “The Thing” directed by John Carpenter!! With Kurt Russell portraying my favorite character of the film. His name being “RJ Macready” or Mac for short.

This film is by far in my top 3 favorite horror films of all time!! Absolutely amazing and due to the creative decision of this film using practical effects, it doesn’t look dated/ aged at all! If you love monsters/ Sci-Fi horror I couldn’t recommend this film enough! I can’t stress enough of how underrated this hidden gem is!

Due to my immense love of the film I went all out on bringing Macready to Life in 1/6 scale! Everything you see here is 100% custom! I went as far as to research every little detail of this character and his gear. So much so, that I hand tailored his clothes, crafted his gloves, painted his head sculpt, along with tons of other little bits and pieces that made this figure come into fruition! I plan on coming back to this character and making a custom diorama for this spectacular film!
One of my most favorite characters named “Indiana Jones” from the film “Raider’s of the Lost Ark” produced by Present Toys a 3rd party 1/6 Scale figure manufacturer.

He is a personal childhood hero/role model to me. What a classic iconic Archeologist/ Adventurer!
One of my 1/6 scale Detolf cabinets in my personal collection.
I plan on updating this project with new custom 1/6 scale 12” figures. As well as, adding additional details/ context to my artists statement. More pictures of the characters in different poses will also be posted at later dates. In addition to photographs of my custom dioramas planned for each character in my collection!! It will be awhile till I make/ showcase these future ideas/ projects.

All due in part to physical space limitations/ financial budgets.

Thank you for investing your time in viewing my personal custom artistic 1/6 scale miniatures/ articulated figurine character collection/ My passion hobby.
