Hashi (Japanese for chopsticks) is an example of harnessing a material to its last potential among one-time used products. This product saves the use of actual paper tissues which saves the materials used to make them. Hashi is made of thickened paper-like slices rolled up, making it semi-absorbant. This also makes the product biodegradable, making it environmentally sustainable. The material can be painted with different styles and textures, bringing fun to food journeys.
Hashi is a design concept that explores the theme of "zero waste" in terms of its usability that also served as an entry for a product design contest from Parmigiano Reggiano.
How to use: Each individual chopstick has a mark indicating where to tear, following the mark and unrolling the chopstick to the end to reveal the complete piece of tissue.
