It started with an idea. I came up with a creative idea for a horror/slasher film festival poster. It was a basic simple vision from the start with the name '80's Slasher Fest!'.
From there, I went to do the required research, and layout all the details and questions into a well-thought-out creative brief and image-defining mood board that I used as references for making a would-be appealing and attention-catch-
ing art depiction. For example: What will the environment be like? The food?
What music/films will be playing? Who is the audience for this kind of festival? What are the keywords? The single message of the festival? The key imagery from the films? The style and inspiration? The color schemes, the graphics...
This is what I've come up with and rendered out from that basic simple idea.
