CAREFUL COMBINATION OF GRAPHIC ELEMENTS OF THE ALTAI PAZYRYK ancient PEOPLE INTO A COLLECTIVE ORNAMENT OF THIS REGION
Idea.
The Pazyryk culture is an archaeological culture of the Iron Age (VI—III centuries BC), the main finds of which were made in the Altai Mountains. Thus, the visual elements that underlie the designed ornament are not only the most ancient in the database Ornamika.com, but also the oldest such high-quality and complex ornamental motifs ever found on the territory of Russia, in principle.
We understand the uniqueness of these objects and the signs containing them, we decided to change them minimally and not only preserve their original shades and outlines, but also simulate a woven felt texture.
Process.
At the first step, all the symbols were outlined and filled with shades close to the originals. At the next step, we created a composition, added the texture of the original objects and also decided to add “signatures” to the ornament as an integral part of it, thus creating a mixed feeling between the ornament and an improvised collage of visual exploration. The blurred colors of the main elements are used as possible backgrounds. At last We presented the use of ornament as a decoration of objects of the tourist infrastructure of Altai. Thank you for the photo for the Forest and Sea layout. Altai is a unique tent mini—hotel in Altai.
This pattern was created by me specifically for the Ornamika platform on a competitive basis, in order to popularize knowledge about the beautiful culture of animal style and national ornaments. The patterns are ready for licensed use through the Ornamika platform.
Thank you for your attention.
