The Polish Institute is a part of the Polish diplomatic mission in India with the aim of promoting and fostering an understanding of Poland’s culture throughout the country in a spirit of mutual cooperation. Based in Delhi,
the Institute develops events and cultural programming in the genres of the visual arts, film, theatre, music and literature and science in collaboration with established Indian cultural organizations.
The Polish Institute is proud to present its first ever KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival with the aim of bringing acclaimed Polish movies to Indian audiences. This first edition of the Festival will kick-off in New Delhi and end with a splash in Mumbai. Apart from acclaimed classics, the Polish Institute is excited to present Polish legend Andrzej Wajda’s newest release Walesa. Man of Hope. The collection of 6 films also includes the documentary Little Poland in India which explores the historic ties that bind India and Poland.
This combination of remastered classics and forthcoming releasesis sure to offer something for everyone.
