Its commercial name is Eliquis (active principle, Apixaban), and corresponded to a 16.7 billion dollars sells. Apixaban is a drug used to prevent excessive coagulation and cardiovascular diseases. It is a good, but expensive alternative to classical drugs like warfarin. Apixaban acts by inhibiting the coagulation factor Xa, and reduces the pathological coagulation, preventing its clinical complications.
