Animal Slaughter

Our 2014 examination title is 'Growth & Evolution' and the very first thing that came to mind when I read it was how broad and open that title actually is. We were allowed to come up with anything that's evolved, changed and basically developed. As I started to brainstorm, I realised consumerism has amplified over the last couple of years in so many areas: toys, fashion, technology, food etc. I decided to explore that a little more and ended up being inspried by artists such as Jordan Eagles who looked at the qualities of blood in his work.
What I will be focusing on for the next couple of months is animal slaughter and everything it entails.
I hope you guys enjoy the photographs I've taken at the Bahrain Meat Market!
