A number of Ukrainian defenders are still surrounded by Russian army in Azovstal steel mill, Mariupol. They continue to hold their ground but they desperately calling on the world to extract them.
There are injured soldiers who cannot get required aid; there are brave combatants who defended the city of Mariupol to the last drop of their blood. And they remain trapped in Azovstal.
Hundreds of civilians were saved by them. Now, they are left to die without immediate help.
Russia does not agree to any proposals made by Ukraine or world community.
The whole world needs to know about this: whatever are the rules of the war, (if there are any) this is simply genocide.
These photos were taken during a hunger strike organized to raise awareness about need of immediate extraction in Azovstal in Paris, near Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday, May 14th 2022.
The whole action only lasted for less than an hour as there was not enough time to get through all the paperwork required to get an official permission to organize it.
Azovstal defenders do not have this time.
