This was a jacket I made for the book "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test." This was one of my favorite books as a teenager so I thought it would be fun to design a cover for it. I created the galaxy background in photoshop and then used photos of the bus and a winding road to create this. This book is all about Ken Kesey and "the Merry Pranksters" traveling around in a colorful bus, giving out and taking acid all over the U.S. I thought the idea of the bus driving into "reality" from an altered perspective (the galaxy setting) was a fun idea. I chose to use a grayscale image for the majority of this cover to represent how dull the world may have seemed in the eyes of this group.
