'Carita triste' is a short animated music video for the band Anakena. It reflects a sad story of a break-up between 'wilson' and 'luna', the main characters of this story. The inspiration set for the video is at Río Caribe in Venezuela.

I directed the storyboard, characters and illustrations. Color and illustrated all the backgrounds and animated some of the frames in 2D. 

This video wouldn't  have been possible without the help of Pablo Etchebest who animated and put together the entire project in after effects and also helped me in the whole process of the video.

For me as an artist it's really important to use real inspiration and add fauna and flora to all my work. Here you can meet 'FLIP' also known as 'forceps butterflyfish' in the marine world, a fish that is widespread throughout the tropical waters.
