"Charcoal Direct Observation"
Objective: Draw a still life with strong contrast using charcoal and white charcoal.
This works focuses on a part of the still life that allows for great depth of shadow. The work emphasizes the highlights to help the objects and create more form. The work then utilizes the charcoal to allow for smooth transition of values.
