Russian-Ukrainian war of 2022

Ukrainian resistance completely shattered the myth of the greatness of the Russian army. From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukrainian army has been actively repelling enemy attacks, inflicting heavy losses. The occupiers finally left Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Fierce fighting continues near Kharkiv and in the environmental protection zone. Mariupol is holding on, but continues to be in a humanitarian catastrophe.
Now, as of May 9, 2022, the city of Mariupol, in the south of Ukraine, has been under complete siege since the beginning of March. According to the mayor, about 25,000 civilians were killed. In Mariupol, as well as on the outskirts of the city, satellite images capture large-scale fresh mass graves. The country's authorities, as well as international organizations, are working daily to create humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians.
The Russian army is waging a full-scale war, destroying entire Ukrainian cities along with their civilians. Over more than a month of Russian military aggression in Ukraine, 4.5 million people have crossed the Ukrainian border. 7.1 million internally displaced persons. Often people lose their home forever and have nowhere to go.
Russia has been invading Ukraine since February 24 from several directions. Its goal was to capture the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv, assassinate President Zelensky, and establish its power. March 31 - Putin's strategic defeat, a turning point on the 36th day of the war. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people, it was possible to drive the overwhelming forces of the enemy away from Kyiv, and in general from the Kyiv region.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the volunteer movement has intensified. People help each other for evacuation, settlement, food, everything necessary for life. Of course, daily assistance to the Army with money, protection, weapons. Fundraising often closes within a few hours of starting because the required amount has already been collected. Society is fully consolidated, believes in victory and does everything for it.
The Russian Federation has been preparing for the mass deportation of Ukrainian citizens to its territory since the beginning of the year. Russia states that as of May 3, 2022, since February 2022, it has forcibly deported 1.1 million citizens, including nearly 200,000 children of Ukraine. This is a mass deportation in the 21st century.
