For our 2014 ang pow packets, we combined the Chinese word for horse (馬 or 马) pronounced as ‘ma’ with Bahasa Malaysia to wish all Malaysians prosperity and fortune in a uniquely Muhibbah way.
We played around with design options by creating a collage of paper cut-outs.
We shortlisted three designs that spoke about harmony, prosperity and wealth.
We added headlines that reflected the Muhibbah spirit by incorporating the Chinese characters for the word 'horse' into Bahasa Malaysia.
As a finishing touch, we stamped our message of Muhibbah in gold on the packaging.
