Creative Strategies Designs - ART 235 BYUI

ABOUT:

This project had as its goal to select a simple object, in my case I chose a tape, and place it in different settings as to represent it through the lens of 6 simple creative strategies, that were: Combination, Isolation, Metaphor/Simile, Change of Context or Environment, Physical Shape Similarity and Material Change, Swap or Focus.

PROCESS:

So that these results could happen, this project was well planned and researched. There was a process of first developing a mind map which helped me to then draw sketches that were the base for my designs. Another important factor were inspiration images that I found during my research. 

I personally worked on these for about 2 weeks before I started the designs and I did so to have a good base of the requirements and a good understanding of the creative strategies.

Finally I'd like to present a closer look of each of the 6 final creative strategies made with different tapes. These all contain simple titles to help to explain the design's goal.
