The purpose of this project was to create a portfolio of the semester's work. This portfolio was to be 3D and a representation of the elements that were found on the site with which we had been working. I titled mine "light box" and based it off the many shadows and planes that can be found in nature, from the shade of trees, to reflections of water, to little alleyways and canals that are formed naturally. Featured within light box are my sketches from the year, photographs of the site, as well as pamphlets which contain essays, photographs, and other assignments. Also photographed is the prototype that was made before construction of light box actually began. The purpose of this prototype was to learn the materials with which I'd be working and to experiment with different effects for shading and lighting.
