疫情肆虐讓居家辦公成為新常態。當人們享受更彈性的工作自由時，卻也漸漸地遺失互動與社交機會。HOMEET 是一扇提供人們與外界連結的窗口，透過敲窗、揮手和寫字等動作，彷彿能真正的與彼此互動，除了為人們帶來更多元的虛擬社交方式，也替新常態鋪陳一張可預見的未來藍圖。

The coronavirus has made Work From Home the new normal. Imaging the future working scenarios, HOMEET is a window that can create a connection between home and the world. By knocking, waving, writing, and many more, people can experience the existence of each other and interact easily. With HOMEET, more diverse social interactions will be innovated and people can embrace an immersed working atmosphere from home.

Background

新冠疫情的爆發，替居家辦公逐漸鋪下一條不可擋的趨勢，現今，許多知名企業正實施著以居家辦公為主的「混合式辦公」，我們身處的世界正迎來前所未見的新常態。然而，少了辦公場所的環境和氛圍，卻也讓人們產生孤獨和焦慮感。

The outbreak of COVID-19 has gradually paved an unstoppable trend for WFH. Nowadays, "Hybrid Work Model"basing on WFH is implemented by many corporations . The world is ushering in an unprecedented new normal. However, it also makes us feel lonely and anxious without the environment and atmosphere of office.

至今，全球已有高達五億人口有居家辦公的經驗，依照圖表數據，遠距辦公的趨勢將會穩定上升。

Approx. 5 billion workers have experienced WFH in recent years. From the graph, the pandemic fluctuated while the trend for remoted work increased steadily.

超過半數的居家辦公者曾感到孤獨和焦慮，除了工作壓力外，缺少與他人互動、待在密閉空間等也是不可忽視的原因。
More than half of WFH workers have felt lonely and anxious. The reasons are work pressure, lack of interaction and staying in confined spaces, etc.

How Might We

我們如何為居家辦公者創造新的工作體驗，即使在不同地方，也能享受互動之樂趣，並同時擁抱工作自由?

How might we create the experience of working together even in different spots so that employees can enjoy the pleasure of interaction while embracing the freedom?

什麼方式能在居家環境中創造出他人的存在感? 我們開始觀察家中環境並思考該利用哪些家中物品來達成我們的目標。

What are the way can create the sense of others’ existence at home? So we began to observe home environment and think about what things we can use to achieve our goals.

影像設計

我們透過OPEN CV設計了三個階段的影像呈現，使用者之間只能用相同的階段來與彼此互動，確保他們的隱私安全。

We designed three-stages image presentation through OPEN CV, users can only see someone with the same stage to ensure the information equally.

互動動作

Interactive action

拉開窗簾，連接每個居家辦公環境，感受到他人的存在。

Open the curtains to connect every home working environment, and feel the existence of others.

你可以在窗戶上寫字，就像在霧氣玻璃上畫圖一般。

You can write on the window as if you would draw on foggy glass.

你可以向窗戶揮手，看見不同同事。

You can wave to the window to see everyone.

也可以敲敲窗戶，呼叫對方。

You can knock on the window to call your colleagues.

當對方的 HOMEET 接收到請求時，會閃爍提示。

When the other's HOMEET receives request, it will flicker to remind you.

滑開窗，可以看見對方清晰的模樣。

Swipe up the window, the clear scene will show.

關上窗，會立刻切回模糊的模式。

Swipe down, it will turn back to blur mode immediately.

工作結束後，拉下窗簾關閉與外界的連結。

After one day's work, close the curtain to disconnect with the world.

我們想探索各種疫情家電發展的可能性，透過類比動作的方式，縮短科技產品與人際溝通互動的距離。此外，也讓因為疫
情長時間在家工作的使用者，也能有電腦以外的選擇能與外界聯繫溝通，HOMEET，是一扇降低孤獨感的對外之窗。

We want to explore the possibility of home appliances under the epidemic, and the distance between technology and
communication would be shortened through the analogical design. Moreover, those WFH people would have options
other than computers to communicate with the world. The window which can reduce loneliness of people is HOMEET.
