Wadi Abu Hindi school:located in a Bedouin village inWest bank, the school has just been renovated by the NGO Vento di Terra. Byusing alternative construction material, the NGO found a way to avoid the harshconditions of constructions permits imposed by Israel in the C zone, and to avoida new demolition from the occupier’s army. The insulation, made of straw andbamboo, soon gave to the school the nickname of “bamboo school”.
