Curvilinear Vase

This piece was an attempt to create multiple bulbous layers to a singluar form. The predominant struggle with this piece in particular was distributing the weight of the clay in a manner that would allow the piece to remain structurally strong without collapsing in on itself and without being too bottom heavy. The glaze used for this piece was an Amaco Saturated Metal and it was meant to give the illusion of heaviness and depth to the top of the form.
