Faith plays a significant role in many people's lives; it serves as a moral and ethical compass and provides hope to those who practice it. If you’re a Christian, how do you help your children and the teens around you develop their faith?

One such way is helping them make time to study the Bible and pray. This is an effective means of drawing them closer to God. You can encourage your kids to pick a specific time to have their moment with God without nagging.

Another way to help your children grow in faith is by looking at things from their perspective. Don't assume their world is the same as yours; instead, walk in their shoes and try to ask them the type of messages they hear every day from school friends, television, and video games. If these messages contradict the word of God, ensure that young people get Biblical perspectives.

You can also develop your children's faith by modeling your own faith to them. Don't just talk about it - ensure they get practical instances of your messages. For example, if you tell them to read the Bible, pray, and worship more often, make sure you do likewise. In other words, practice what you preach, as parents are mostly their kids’ role models.
