3D Logo Animations
This was a student project where, using Cheetah 3D, we created logo animations for fictional businesses. I created different logos for two separate businesses: One for a freelance Graphic Designer, and the other for a social media startup. Throughout both pieces, motion was a key component. Using the elements at my disposal, I wanted to take the audience on a journey through the piece, not just leaving it as a static unappealing motion graphic, but providing motion and interest for the viewer.
This animated logo was intended for a freelance Graphic Designer whose aesthetic focused on sharp and crisp stylistic choices. The main work by this designer came from skater culture and punk roots. Because of this, the use of a kickflip in the animation fit perfectly with overall branding for the designer. Along with this, the main gray and black main themes emphasize the sharp and crisp design work while the teal provides visual balance and interest for the piece overall.
The above two pieces were both created to introduce the logo of a startup social media company. Similarly to the first logo concept, this client wanted a brand that was fresh and trendy while keeping an overall refined, simplistic. The design itself is meant to evoke a feeling of discovery and possibility. At the start of the graphic, we find ourselves thrown down a small tunnel. As the graphic continues, we find the walls spiraling apart before coming back together to form the finalized logo for the client. The secondary version of this logo involves a metal texture for visual interest and a wordmark placeholder to capitalize on potential variations to the design concept.
