In this project we chose a word or a phrase and make it into a physical form. The final word I chose was Wabi-Sabi which means to find beauty in the imperfection of nature. While doing my research I found gardens that represent Wabi-Sabi. My garden isn’t supposed to be perfect or look like everything is connected. Thats why I chose different colors and plants and the asymmetrical between the soil and the rocks. I wanted to do white letters so it would really capture the eye first rather than the plants. I wanted the placement of the letters to look displaced and unfinished thats why some letters are partly covered. I also wanted a natural background so I decided to take my picture outside.

When taking these photos I wanted outside to be the background of the picture. I chose this because in the definition of Wabi-Sabi it says to find the imperfection in nature so I wanted to do just that. I also wanted to play with the angle that I would be taking the picture from and I decided to go with an upward angle.
