The redesign emphasizes the 3 most important aspects of the room: Number, building, and the room function.
Each part of the sign is designed to be as clear as possible, so utilizing sans and slab serifs was the best typeface to emphasize the new clarity and geometric design.
Color also played a key role. While my original concept was to keep the school colors (light and dark blue), the project then transitioned into implementing new color themes.
Each theme plays off a color on the visible light spectrum and could be coordinated with multiple class types or different buildings. The variation could be decided by the school.

My room designs have not been officially incorporated, however, the project was a success in emphasizing clarity, providing organization, and supplying a fresh new look to an important part of the STLCC Campus.
