Lamu, in Northern Kenya, is an ancient Swahili settlement that used to be a crossroad for Bantu, Arabs, Persian and European travellers, traders and settlers. It retained its incredibly fascinating culture, architecture and people to this day. 

Lamu's people are predominantly Muslim and I I travelled there during the beginning of Ramadan, for a weekend. These are my pictures.
