My second attempt at wood carving. For a friend!
Process
I owe its unique design to the mistakes I made.
Initial Shape-Finding
Mistake 1: I hammered on the chisel too hard. I broke it in half.
Mistake 2: I snapped its right wing while gripping it.
I used a different type of wood to replace its broken wing.
Finished with Linseed Oil!
This Project was completed in Dec 2021.
