In my work on the cover I wanted to reflect the fact that the directors from the book are recognized classics of world cinema that are still relevant today. That's why I created modern lettering, which contain references to classical styles, not copying them literally, but only creating the right feeling. One of the sources of inspiration is the work of the German calligrapher Ernst Vollmer.
