During this module, I explored the effective integration of illustration and typography within the framework of a book jacket design. It examined my understanding of a story and how to translate that into a successful and arresting illustration. I explored different illustration styles and techniques. The constraints of a book jacket design – such as format, readability, and relevance to source material gave me a feel for publishing projects, and helped developed my skills in illustration as well as my ability to interpret illustration styles and integrate them in a design.
