Inspired by Andy Warhol's self portraits and Marilyn's Diptych, this image was manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. To create these images, I worked in multiple layers and groups. I started off perfecting the image and then began working with shadows, then I added layers of color for the eyes and face.
The Process
While creating this, I took a series of photos. The photos taken to be raw and natural. I love how expressive they seem. Feeling emotion through the image was important for this project. Warhol's work is extremely expressive and simplified. The images I took are below.

While these photos above are expressive, the photo below is crisp and symmetrical so once the complete graphic was put together, this photo was the best to use.
Here I began working with shadows to find which was best.
Here I began working with colorization and hues to find the perfect match.
Here I finished by adding my own color touches to the background layer.
Moodboards
This moodboard showcased Warhol's work and his attention to detail. While creating my version, I too closely paid attention to detail in making sure the shadows, hues, and colors were to my liking.
Inspiration Images
To create the final piece below, I took many elements from Andy Warhol's works of self portraits and added touches of my personal aesthetic and editing skills within Adobe. The photo used was simple, yet expressive. The self portrait aspect was added as it was inspired by Andy's numerous self portraits. The graphics were in place to introduce multiple colors into the piece. Here is the final look.
