(The capital parlor game)
A board game in which progress is determined by the player's ability to answer questions about anything related to the swedish capital, Stockholm. Correct answers win you a street, collecting all streets in one part of the city wins you the game.
The design is inspired by the city itself. Its architecture and unique archipelago nature, long history of both prosperity and violence, songs written about it and of course the vibrant urban life it has today. The diversity of the city in all these aspects lead to a collage of images that holds both obvious and cryptic references. I wanted to make a design that would add to the gameplay experience but also make it an object you can put on display next to your coffee table books. This greatly influenced both the graphics and typography surrounding the somewhat "crazy" imagery, and the choices of materials and techniques.
The game engine was created by Alexander and Erik at Ninja Print.
