Ethereal Heat Themed Colours

This project was an exploration of printmaking on top of being an ode to the necessity of conservation and sustainability. By using different material to print on along with a colour     combinations that stray from the standard CMYK format, I explored how my art can be further expressed and displayed to a wider audience. My style of drawing is heavily inspired by works of print and calligraphy derived from Asian countries such as Japan, India and China. Despite featuring ‘caricatured’ interpretations of reality, The traditional arts form these regions are eye catching and gorgeous due to their level of detail, pattern, vibrancy and a sense of organic flow they often exhibit. Since I am not an accomplished carver, I opted to create my prints using silk-screens rather than the more traditional method of block printing.
