Plastic Pollution Sculpture
"Suffocated by Plastic"

My Seascape Sculpture commenting on the Global problem of plastic pollution and excessive waste.For this project I gathered plastic waste materials in order to produce a variety of sea animals including a sea turtle, jellyfish and fish in order to comment on the effects plastic is having on these animals there habitats and food chains.I also created a variety of plants to place upon the plastic bottle sea bed I produced creating a realistic seascape effect whilst still allowing the viewer to see the exact plastic used. This fully encapsulated movable installation portrays the harsh effects of plastic pollution is having on these animals and uses the visual imagery of being "suffocated by plastic".
