Não, tu. Na máscara composta por cartão e ligadura o conceito baseia-se na manipulação e intervenção facial para se atingir uma aparência perfeita. No entanto, a fase de recuperação dessa mesma intervenção é escondida e ignorada, criticando o estereótipo de beleza que a sociedade atual impõe, em que não se mostra a realidade por detrás da máscara e da dor de cada um. Na máscara branca maquilhada, envolvida por papel aderente, refere-se ao conceito de escondermos quem somos com uma camada, quer seja de maquilhagem (lado literal) quer seja com uma máscara de sensações/sentimentos (metafórica), disfarçando aquilo que realmente estamos a sentir, daí estar desenhado um sorriso forçado a caneta. O papel aderente representa o sufoco que ambas características retratam, a máscara esconde o seu verdadeiro Eu. O comportamento de uma pessoa pode variar dependendo do grupo de indivíduos com quem convive ou por quem está rodeada. Na sociedade atual, devido à importância que é dada às redes sociais- aos influencers digitais- liga-se bastante ao como os outros nos vêem, e à ilusão de vidas e de seres perfeitos. Numa multidão onde todos se camuflam para serem “perfeitos”, quando existe alguém que não o é, há uma tendência para julgar, ou reparar nas diferenças do outro e julgá-lo por isso. Apesar de não nos apercebemos dos nossos comentários, quer achemos que estes sejam inofensivos ou não, eles têm sempre um certo impacto nas pessoas que os ouve, que acaba muitas vezes por ser negativo. Esta negatividade causa alta frustração que o indivíduo acumula, formando assim uma opressão sobre ele mesmo e uma insegurança da sua aparência e tem que se libertar de uma certa forma, em que ofende para “igualar” a suas inseguranças - para se sentir superior - criando o efeito bola de neve. A proposta apresentada é um vídeo multimédia em que ambos os conceitos das máscaras de cada uma das intérpretes se encontram e confrontam. Abordando os temas acima explorados, os conceitos das máscaras interligam-se no que toca a esconder a realidade para se integrar na sociedade. Ambos baseiam-se e exploram a insegurança da beleza física e a obsessão, como referido anteriormente, que a população atual vive em atingir a perfeição, para serem aceites na sociedade.

No, you. The bandage and cardboard mask, the concept is about manipulation and facial intervention to reach perfect beauty. Meanwhile, the recuperation period of it it's hidden and ignored, criticizing the beauty stereotype that society forces, in which we don't show the reality behind the mask and the pain of each individual.
The white maked up mask, rolled in seran wrap, portraits the concept of who we tryully are, and how we hide who we truly are under make up (literal side) or a more metaforical side, behind a mask of feelings and sensations, pretending something fake of what we are trully feeling, that explaining the smile drawed on the mask. The seran wrap represents the suffocation of what both caracteristics mean. The masks hides our true self.
A person's behavior in some cases depends on the group that this one is inserted. In today's society, due to social media - to digital influencers- we are more of how the others see us and what they think of ys, and the ilusion of perfect lifes and perfect beings. In a crowd where everybody camuflates to be "perfect", when there's somebody that isn't, there's a tendency to judge that person. Or we see the differences or what's "not normal". Even if we don't see it, our comments on people always affect the other that listened to it. And these always have a negative impact of who they are targeted to. This negativity causes frustration that acumulates. Creating then an opression on him self and self doubts of its looks and has to relieve it in some way. The easiest way of doing so is offending who's next to us to "equalize" whatever that person is feeling, to feel superior, and doing so, it creates a Snowball effect.
The video is about the two concepts of the masks confronting the other. With the themes above explored, the masks conncet of what's hidding your true self and to try to insert themselves in society. Both are based and explore physic beauty and obsession of the society trying to reach perfection to be accepted by society.
