As part of the skilled volunteering program for HandsOn Greater DC Cares, I had the opportunity to support the 2013 Inauguration-Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend of Service. In order to mobilize more than 5,000 volunteers in service to local communities, schools and nonprofits for the event, HandsOn Greater DC Cares wanted to run an advertising campaign that would be featured on the DC metro and metro buses. For this all-encompassing design project, I worked closely with HandsOn Greater DC Cares to design transit ads for metro stations, rail cars and buses throughout Washington, DC. In addition, I designed banners and signs that were featured at volunteering locations, and t-shirts for volunteers to wear. The mock-ups for the transit ads are shown below.
