My research on Adrian Frutiger says that he created his Univers typeface in the 70s. This period in itself is teeming with stories to tell, going from the Watergate Scandal to the protests of the Vietnam War. My intention for this project is to make a political or social studies book with a color scheme similar to the artist Shepard Fairey's constructivist style. Using mostly primary colors that contrast strongly with each other. The Univers font, I believe, can hold its own against pop art style patterns in the background; its bold variation, in particular, is what inspires this idea.
